Instructions
1. In a large bowl, add sugar and grate orange zest over it. Whisk to combine. 2. Add softened, cubed butter to the sugar mixture. Cream together with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. 3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. 4. Sift in the flour and gently fold it into the mixture with a spatula. 5. Pour in the milk and mix until the batter is smooth and well combined. 6. Pour the batter into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper and spread it evenly. 7. Bake until the cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. 8. While the cake is still warm, prepare the syrup by combining sugar and fresh orange juice in a saucepan and heating until the sugar dissolves. 9. Pour the warm syrup over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in completely. 10. Garnish with fresh tangerine slices and mint leaves before slicing and serving.
